My name is Sheila Orr and I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Center for Enhancing Education in Mathematics and Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

My work as a teacher educator and researcher is informed by my almost decade long experience as a high school mathematics teacher. Grounded in praxis, I seek to reimagine mathematics classrooms as sites where students, families, and educators collectively challenge oppression and build toward justice.
